Information aggregation and the cognitive make-up of market participants

We assess the effect of cognitive make-up market participants on informational efficiency markets. put forth that skills, such as reflection, are crucial for ensuring markets because they endow with ability to infer others’ information from prices. Using laboratory experiments, we show aggregation is significantly enhanced when (i) all possess high levels sophistication and (ii) this level common participants. Our findings shed light constraints underlying efficient hypothesis.
